This guy is awesome.  I like his mentality, he's as cool as the other side of the pillow.

I hope that he makes a statement and makes it to the final.

How can you tell he's "as cool as the other side of the pillow" from 10 shots?  He shot 214 with four big breaks in the match...not exactly what I would call clutch.

I'm not saying I would have done any better...I would have been happy to keep it on the lane....however calling they guy a clutch performer is a little bit of a stretch.

You have to be a little clutch to make it to the show. So he rolled a 2 pin and so on but he was on the show after making it out of the PTQ. It's easy to critisize people when you've never made a show yourself. That's why I keep my mouth shut most of the time...

Wow.  I try to give someone some props, and I get ragged for it?  That's not exactly what I was looking for as a response, nor what I was really saying.  He's just really cool under the collar:  never let a bad shot get to him and always kept his head level.  Reminded me of Tommy Jones as far as demeanor goes...that kinda thing.

I said specifically that I would have been happy to keep it on the lane, so I never said I would do better.  I did say that calling him uber clutch (what "cool as the other side of the pillow" referred to) was a bit of a stretch.

I'm sure he's a great player....and I am not knocking the way he bowled today...or anyone who posted about it.  Merely stating that I thought that accolade was maybe a bit overstated.
