Lefty Lane Blocking
« on: December 17, 2007, 08:07:00 AM »
It seems that the cry baby lefties got their wish and the PBA should be investigated. There is NO WAY that out of six lefties on tour, four of them make the show!!  This will be the biggest scandal yet if someone looks into the lane conditioning that shut out the right handed bowlers.

You cant be serious. Next time try and use your brain before you type, and FYI, it was 5 lefties, not 4.

Wrong they will be shut out for a few more weeks and when they come west the lefties will rule the roost, i think will be seeing Rhino 2 more times on tv and he will win 1 title to become exempt for next year.

Hope so! He's been bowling great, he deserves it.

As for the topic, I seriously hope he's not serious.

Only 4 of those 5 are exempt bowlers, so the statement about 4 out of the 6 lefties on tour still is correct.

Each pattern has its own characteristics in its own right then you need to add in the additional characteristics based on which brand/type of oil they are using that week and what the condition the surface of the lanes are like.

Laying the Shark Pattern at my center probably wont play near the same way as it does in your house.  Combine that with how a group, or the total group of players are attacking the lane that week and what the surface of their equipment is like and bam.  You could have the same pattern in the same house with the same oil and it still play totally different if everyone changed their strategy together.

Like what LeftyShow was saying about what was said on www.BrunswickInsiders.com .  It seems like they tried to attack the lanes a different way and it didnt work and they shut themselves out.  A few weeks ago in the prime time show they talked about all the righty's throwing dull equipment up the track to create some area in practice, and it then broke down too quick and I heard comments from Wolfe and others while they were bowling about how they wore it out...  It was great for DeVaney at first, but later on it hurt him and all the righties.  If Rhino was a higher seed that Day I think he would have been better off..
