Yeah, it's too bad he'll be around next year too.  I'd rather watch someone like Baker on TV than Lawrence.  Baker's going to be around for a while, but he's not the hottest bowler out there.  Lawrence kind of reminds me of the old adage that even a broken clock is right two times a day.  Perhaps his day is soon coming to an end.

Man, you guys kill me.. Can't you just give Lawrence his kudos and move on to another subject.. He has thrown the shots when he needs to win matches and that what its all about.. Yea, he has made it 3 weeks in a row on 3 DIFFERENT PBA patterns.. Anyone here able to do that?? I doubt it..

Just because he doesn't put 200 revs on the ball doesn't mean he is not a good bowler.. He is very consistant and that to me is more important..

jkiser01,  I neglected to mention that when I wrote this my tongue was nearly thru my cheek.  I'm in full agreement with you.  Rick must be doing something right.  I was just a tad curious as to who would "agree" with me.  

As an aside, I was looking at the "Live" scoring today and noticed that Maximum Bob thru two first balls back to back in the ditch.  Hmm, fluffer Rick moves on, Superpower, max revs wunderkind doesn't.  Makes you think, yes?

Bob7,

yes last week, Rick did not have very good ball reaction and it looked like he was using the wrong ball. He said he was using a weaker ball on the tv show because during practice the ball he used for most of match play was diving thru the nose and when he switched back to that ball (the stronger ball), it was too late..

It also looked like the ball was not coming off his hand as smooth as it was the week he won. He is no different than all of us as far as that goes. I know there are times my thumb feels like butter and other times it feels aweful..

I'd say it's more like dribbling between your legs/behind your back... At first, no one would do it because it was viewed as being showy and pointless. Now, everyone can do it and they use it to some extent, but not always. Same with revving the ball up, most on tour can do it, but don't always use it.
