You can't feel bad losing to a 300 game.  Now 299, that hurts.

Not going for the $$$$ but I lost 2 points in a singles league to the same guy 300-299 and then 289-279. I was thrilled and pi---d at the same time!!

I watched Mark Roth (sometime in the early 1970's) get beat with a 299, and turn around the next game and win with a 149. :-)

I got to see TJ throw both 300 games today. Let me also state that he had a rough day... threw THREE gutter balls by the 2nd frame of game 2! I was stunned by how far right he was playing. He used about 4 different  balls in the first 20 frames as well.

Eventually he settled into laying the ball down outside of 15, having the ball hanging over the ditch, then roaring back to the hole. He used the Angular One with the oin about 2 inches above the bridge and the CG in the palm, well above the horizontal line.
