Look of television show
« on: December 04, 2011, 04:55:49 AM »
Well, if that is all the PBA can offer, I am officially out.  It has the look of a high school student's project.  Lighting?  Horrible.  "Audience" if you can call it that?  Numbingly quiet and dull.  Overall look and feel?  Un-inspired.  What a shame.  Toodles, PBA.  It was fun while it lasted.  Let me know when the last rites are given.

As the PBA is losing money hand over fist, what would you have liked to have seen?

aka. Big Daddy Pink, Pink Pinkstofferson, Smooth as Asian Silk, Righty Complex, Big Daddy Wit Da Smooth Head.

I'm man enough to admit I stroke with the left hand and it feels good.

Whooooooo! Go time!

No excuses. Just bowl. High Score wins! Make the Adjustment!

Nice job.  Your post and sig match the stupidity of the PBA as it stands today.  Tool.

Nice job loser. Not only do you manage to signify what's wrong with this site, (too many ignorant would be bowlers who feel that they are bigger and better than what they really are) but the minute someone criticizes you, instead of acting with class and dignity, you take the low road and attack someones character and knowledge of the game. "Spec before Check." You sir, are what personifies what is wrong with bowing. Someone who talks all this trash behind a website but sure enough would not say half of what you say to my face. Ignore, go troll around your ths tourneys and recant your yester years of how the game was so much better back then.

It has something to do with money, sure, but mostly it has to do with some VERY poor direction. DON"T SHOW THE DAMN PINS FROM THE BACK!!!!  DON'T STICK A CAMERA ON THE FRIGGEN' CEILING!!!

That is all.

This was a very weird set up to begin with in my opinion.  The event was held at the Southpoint Casino.  A separate 2 lane center was set up away from the bowling alley at the auditorium.  The bowlers had to go over to the bowling center to practice.  Very strange setup.

Sorry but this is the dumbest post I have ever seen....Pederson has been on tour and has Rep'd for Storm for years.  He understands the game, what the morons on here don't understand is the telecast isn't geared towards the 104 people that post on here 435634563 times a day about how much of a difference 2000 and 3000 abralon have on the lunar eclipse.  They need a mainstream audience, like in golf do you think they want Johnny Miller and Nick Faldo going over shaft torque ratings and launch angles every 30 minutes?

Wasn't the best set up. New group producing this year, so I imagine they will learn as they go too. I don't have a problem with Rob and Randy. Randy is a great bowler and very knowlegable about the game. Once we get to the actual PBA events there should be some improvements also. This was actually the WTBA first time event for the new World Tour. I really don't care how fancy the back grounds are for the show, I will record and if possible will be watching as well. I am glad shows are back on and wish there were more.

I agree that the production values weren't up to par,but I enjoyed the telecast anyway, and I also wish there were more shows.

Ooooooooh, yet another internet tough guy.  What next, you gonna challenge me to a fight?   Why don't you tell us what a great bowler you are since you found it necessary to put down THS bowlers (for what it's worth to a pimply faced teenager like you, I haven't bowled on ths in ten years).   BTW, what the hell does "Spec before Check" mean?  If you wouldn't post gibberish, maybe you'd earn a more respectful reply.

You also must be a real special kind of tool to list what balls you use (who cares?) and the high score you shot with them.  Along with you list of "successful transactions" that really proves your mettle on the lanes.

Agree with Russell.  Randy Pedersen is one of the few things that is right with the show.  Him and Stone are entertaining while educational.

Personally I dont understand all the fuss.  We watch the shows because we want to watch the bowlers while maybe learning something from the guys like Randy Pedersen along the way.  What I would like to see every week, is a "guest pro" in the booth with Randy and Rob; someone different every week.

The show yesterday, they spoke about the strategies of Mika and what he did during the practice session to help set up the lanes in his favor.  I dont care about the lighting and other nonsense.  I tune in to watch the bowlers perform and maybe learn something from the guys in the booth.  Who cares about the crowd?  Do we tune into another sporting event on tv because we want to see what the crowd is up to?  I tuned in to the Chevron World Challenge simply because I wanted to see if Tiger could pull out his first win in 2 years; not to see what some guy off the 15th green was going to do as the golfers walked by.

I too watch for the bowling, not the side effects. However, naked strippers in the background would be less objectionable and likely increase ratings.

Those that can do. Those that can't complain. Pimpin ain't easy, but it's mandatory.
