POY Race
« on: April 08, 2005, 01:05:59 PM »
As expected, Barnes (who was never really in the running anyway) is out.  PA, WRW, and TJ all advance.  Honestly WRW has a snowball's chance because he's only won 1 tournament and been stomped on TV in every appearance since then.  PA took care of Voss (who probably gave up after 2 games in a manner similar to his recent TV appearance).  TJ did well in his match but he was bowling Bryon Smith (Bryon WHO?).

It will be interesting to see how the next few rounds fall into place.  I think the best case scenario is to see both PA and TJ make the TV finals against each other for the titles of POY and ToC Champion.

That would be sweet, but in my opinion anything short of Tommy winning and PA not making the show and PA is the POY in my book.

THATS WHAT I TOLD THE PEOPLE OVER AT THE PBA FORUM, WE NEED A TOMMY-PATRICK MATCH UP TO DECIDE WHO WILL WIN POY, but they decided that would just make it boring.

I think that match-up would make us all understand who REALLY deserves player of the year.

note: tommy has a big match tommorow against Duke

PA is Player of the Year no doubt about it!!! Just look at the scores he's shooting right now. He's the most dominant player on tour right now. Almost unbeatable. Sorry Tommy.

he will be player of the year BUT i dont know about the scores he is shooting, Global is by NO MEANS going to go down quietly with a 256, PA will need to keep his composure to hope to get by Global who seems to be bowling quite well.

Personally i hope Global beats him.

As much as I like TJ, PA is now the POY with Tommy not being able to win the TOC.
