Chameleon Championship - Lefties locked out?
« on: November 13, 2008, 07:41:50 AM »
While I don't know all the lefties, I see, after block one of the round of 64, Rhino Page is in 11th.
Next lefty I see is Parker Bohn in 43rd??
Patrick Allen in 44th,
Jason couch in 52nd (averaging 199???),
Billy Oatman in 55th,
Mike Scroggins in 63rd averaging 182?

If you see any lefties I missed, please add them

I don't care who you like or don't like, something stinks.

What about during the Ultimate Scoring Championship when PA & PB3 were putting up phone numbers?

Because it was a house shot?

The lefties will get their run like they usually do in the middle of the season.

They just have to adjust to the new patterns. Rhino is in 3rd now. No problem for him on the wrong side.

Yep and what stinks is the lefties bowling this week.  They will be fine.  How come if a lefty isn't at or near the top it has to be the lanes?

why wait?
All patterns should be equal on either side of the 4th arrow. Period. end of story. Equality is the name of the human game.

The difficult aspect of getting the left and right side "equal" is that you can't really do it.  Since the right side sees so much more traffic, the track area is much more worn meaning the two sides will play much, much differently even when the same pattern is laid down on both sides of the lane.

Equality as in the same pattern, or having it break down the same way? I'd say putting half the oil(or something like that) on the left side would even out some transition disparity.

Hey, Rhino's found a way to score, ain't he?

The usual problem on the left, here, as in league, is finding a shot. Once it's found, it doesn't change much, since there are only 7 or so lefties. The problem may be, as today, in finding a shot/ball path.

Yes, they'll play more differently, due to track differences, but, in general, unless the oil pattern makes it harder, which today seems to be the case, most lefties have it easier, ONCE THEY ARE LINED UP.

All patterns SHOULD be equal, have they ever been in the entire history of bowling? NO! There are way too many factors, especially on the PBA tour to have an equal shot every day of every tournament. The PBA sees and understands this, so to make up for weeks that the left is shut out, they throw them a bone when they get to the coast.
