Funny.....new commentator
« on: October 28, 2007, 01:11:10 PM »
I was going to put a post up last night about the over/under on how long before the little complainers on this site started b!tching about the new commentator.  I thought 4 weeks was a bit aggressive....

Man I was wrong.....judging by the times of posts it started before the show was even over.

Some of you need to get a life.

i think this is the first time i agree with something you said. i posted this on another forum and will post it again here, and have the urge to post it in every post with this topic.
i dont know what all the fuss is about. i think he did a fine job, and is learning as he goes. You people will ALWAYS find something to complain about. Hearing this guy the first 2 weeks is 1000x better than dave ryan was after doing it for years. He got excited at the bowling, good for him, maybe it will make the non-bowling fan tune in, what is wrong with him not knowing the game? He can teach the fans as he learns as well. So he didn't know what a re-rack was, or a turkey. Now say you've never seen or heard bowling in your life, would you really watch every again if all you heard were the guys talking about ball dynamics, layouts, oil patterns, etc? NO. Its been 2 weeks, just shut up and see what happens.

TBE, great reply.
I thought it was refreshing to hear someone get excited about the sport.
While we take for granted some of the terms he didnt know, remember, at some point all of us were in the same boat at one time.

ESPN needs to screen their commentators and match them for the jobs. It's not too much to ask to have the guy know SOMETHING about bowling.

Exactly, you wouldn't have Michael Jordan broadcasting tennis.
