John Nolen's 09-10 exemption
« on: February 15, 2009, 09:04:49 AM »
Since John Nolen won his exemption for 09-10 by winning the RPC, what will the ramifications of his earning a 2yr exemption by winning the masters?

Obviously for him. But does that create a space on the point list, etc.

According to some people I've talked to today, his RPI exemption goes to the next eligible guy on the RPI standings. From what I've heard from Jon himself and others, Jonathan Van Hees could get Nolen's exemption. No one seems sure what the official procedure is (whether this happens or another exemption goes up for grabs at Tour Trials), but this is the rumor I heard this afternoon.
