Is he still on the pro tour? I always rooted for him, especially when he was with Visionary. He always bowled well on tv, but seemed to have the toughest luck in the big games. Was cool seeing him throw a Blue Warlock against WRW in the 2003 US Open!

I had the pleasure of having dinner with him last year at the US Open...very nice guy.  He has a fantastic all around game, and is always around.  He gets caught in tweener no man's land a lot I think.

As far as I know he will be out there this year...

Yes. He is also bowling West and I think Northwest regionals. I just bowled with him last week in a local tourney which he won and he is now throwing Hammer equipment.

That's good to hear. Hope he gets his first PBA title this year and does it throwing a Hammer! Too bad he can't use Visionary anymore. Would love to see someone using mid-priced Ogre beat up on someone else's top-line ball...

he is of course not exempt so he will have to bowl the rabbit squads to try to make it into the tourny.. that gets really old and expensive if you don't have a sponsor.. he is a very nice guy, I have met and talked to him a couple times over the years..

He is exempt. He was 30th in points and his bio can be found in the PBA exempt list found here: http://www.pba.com/players/singlebio03.asp?ID=11216

He finished 30th in points, they take the top 40-ish (39, I believe, since Mineman was outside the cut line).  He did lose his exemption after the 05-06 season but finished second at Tour Trials, regaining it along with Del Ballard, Kelly Kulick, Chris Johnson, and the rest of that crowd.

Nice guy. I got to bowl with him at the US Open Pro Am earlier this year.
