PDW Out Again!!!
« on: November 24, 2004, 01:00:09 PM »
Weber has already been eliminated!! Is there a bowler who has had a more dissapointing start to the season than Pete Weber? He can't even seem to get past the 1st guy he bowls. Puzzling.

Add Robert Smith to your list of disappointing starts to a year. mmmmm, they both, (PDW amd Robert Smith) are on the Storm staff.. Very odd..

But my shock of the week so far..

WRW got upset by a amatuer!! I gues Rick Lawrence did get to him last week when he whooped up on him!! LOL..

Yeah PDW's out but the guy who beat him Mike Minneman(I think he posts reviews on here) only shot a nifty little 3 game 803 to beat him.

You've seen Mike's reviews rihgt!

Mike is having a great year, he has qualified for 2 of the last 3 PTQ's and the one he missed in St.Louis he was high after 6 games and fell off alittle late but still only missed by 20 sticks. Mike is no stranger to high-level bowling he is always a major player in the midwest regionals and back in the 2003 PBA Louisville Open Mike made it to the round of 16 where he lost to tv finalist  Tommy Jones. Remember this was the old format where you had 9 games qualify then 9 games round 64 then Friday night the best of seven match play. What a great Friday night that was in Louisville watching Mike beat John May in the round of 32 to advance.Everybody in the tournament was playing inside very deep, and Mike was the only guy playing 5-out, and needless to say he did it very well. I am fortunate enough to know Mike, and he is a great guy. GOOD LUCK Mike Steeleville,IL. is cheering you on every week!!! Keep up the good bowling!!!

Obviously the guy Mineman can bowl. R Smith is another guy who has underacheived so far this year. I guess it just proves that in Match Play anyone can beat anyone on any given day.

I personally think Weber is struggling.

Hasn't really shot any great games out there. When he wins games it's generally not a high score he shoots.

Makes me wonder if he is having mechanical problems or perhaps he's not using the right equipment out there.

Well if you have noticed about Pete the last few seasons, he has a very slow start. He usually doesnt start to really come out till the half way mark or a little after. And when he does come out then, it is play of the year status, but his slow beginning, always takes that achievement away from him. I really think match play suits him great, so hopefully he will start coming out.
