Title: motel 6 roll to riches

i can't wait to see this event next weekend----however, it will be somewhat disappointing that walter ray williams, jr. won't be on the show. i don't know how he wasn't voted in. pba hall of fame, abc hall of fame, 40 pba titles, most tv shows, etc., etc. i guess he'll have to settle for being the best.

I'll personally be rootin for TJ.  How can you be that smooth, with a backswing that high?  He amazes me every time I see him...

I wonder what kind of condition they are going to bowl on.  I'm betting on a regular house shot, with an extra head run.

God if they did that the scores would be out of this world.  I really think someone would shoot 900.  I'd love to go bowl on a double run house shot.   MMMMMMMMMMMM oil !!!!!!!

Just a reminder that my copy of TV Guide shows that it will be broadcast on Saturday morning.  Wouldnt want someone waiting for it on Sunday.

I was under the impression that it will on TV both days (Sat & Sun). Am I mistaken?

They flashed something on ESPN earlier today (during the replay of ToC) and I think it was on both days.  I think it was Saturday at 1pm EST and Sunday at 3pm EST, with Saturday being a Challenge and Sunday being the Finals.

Yep, you guys are correct, I got next week's TV Guide in and it lists another show on Sunday.  Sorry, didnt know this was a two-parter.  

To answer the original post, I too am surprised that Walter Ray did not make the show.  How did they determine the entrants for this event?

Four major winners plus fan votes (have to be registered on PBA.com) to fill out the six places.  If someone were to win two majors, they'd take the top three votes.  The voting is over, with TJ getting something like 44% and Duke getting 16% to make the last two places.

just dont go to the PBA webpage. Its already been bowled.. and they have the results there. No suprises for me Just a heads up.

I too was very disappointed to find out that <deleted> won.  I mean, I'm happy for him, but I'd've preferred to wait until Saturday and Sunday to find out how the matches went.  For one, I thought it'd be live (though why it would be on both Saturday and Sunday, I don't know).  Even if it weren't live, I think it's ridiculous that they posted the results this morning.  On those days that I can't watch the show live, I avoid places like this just to keep from being spoiled.
