You don't even think that the pattern doesn't matter, you give them practice on it, and they will burn a shot that they like.
All they need is to see a graph of it and they know where they want to start, then it is just the surface that dictates where they go from there.
US Open is as tough as it gets and if you took the hacks out and made it a regular PBA event (Where the pros are breaking it down properly) they would still average 210+ on a flat shot.
They are the best in the world for a reason.
