PBA Poll
« on: February 15, 2007, 02:57:08 AM »
Hey guys, maybe you can explain this to me:

Who has the early edge in the 2006-07 PBA Player of the Year race?

Jason Couch       38%
Chris Barnes       25%
Sean Rash       18.1%
Wes Malott       9.8%
Other               9.2%

Total Number of votes:   1751

Chris Barnes is #2?  Did I miss something?  Seriously, I am not being sarcastic or anything I really want to know.

And top of the points list, plus he's fresh on everyone's mind being on TV the last two weeks and he's the PBA's and USBC's golden boy.

4 shows, 1 title.

Why not?

Has he made 4 shows?  I guess I forgot.  I was thinking of the one title compared to some of the other guys who have won more than one this season so far.

dual title winners this year:

Rash
Couch
Duke

Duke is all but out of it due to injuries, even if he comes back, there will be only 5 tournaments left. he would have to win at least 2 or 3 of the last 5 in my book due to all the misses.

Couch had a horrible first half but with a couple more wins could be the man. he is also moving up in the points

Rash would have to win 2 more times.

Barnes with another win especially a major and being the points leader could do it.

I think its really up in the air with whomever can perform down the stretch, especially in the majors, will take it

Darkhorses:

WRW
Mallott
Jones

Could someone tell me where this "Great Wall of China" is???

Yeah you're right I guess he has made more TV appearances with all the YOU DO THE MATH commercials and USBC commercials.

His other two shows were right at the beginning of the season, one in the Japan Cup in an early match we didn't see (the JC takes 9 to the show, we only saw the top five).

Couch, Rash, and Barnes. No particular order, but any of those have a pretty good shot.

even tho is gonna be difficult, i hope parker can get 1 win and he will have some chances, hes in the top 5 just got unlucky to find some of the highest scores on TV

a good win will put him into near the top

go go parker!

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one

if couch can continue to dominate the 2nd half like he has (accept for the 2 bad weeks) make a couple shows and win 1 title sure and i'd like to see that he's got an awesome resume and the only thing he needs now is a player of the year award
