No live scoring at PBA.com??
« on: October 24, 2006, 02:17:10 AM »
This was always my favorite feature. Have they done away with this? A-Squad started at 8:30 a.m. CST, so we should've seen something by now. Does anyone know anything about this?

I don't believe they do the live scoring for the Masters due to the large number of bowlers...they usually just do an update after each squad.

Oh, I didn't remember that. For some reason, I thought they did live scoring squad by squad. Oh well, it really shouldn't be too long. Five games won't take that long. Thanks.

Wanna bet on that.
It's still a USBC event until match play/televised portion starts.
2 yrs. ago it took until 1am to find out what the official cut was.
I had to keep calling back there to find out if I was in or not.

If it doesn't have DT or RG stamped on it.
Just leave it in the bag.
free agency it is until i get a better offer.   LMAO

last night i bowled there and they had the automatic scoring equipment right next to my lanes.  I'm surprised that it isn't working right now, or that nobody is operating it.  however, there are a TON of bowlers there.

Well, I was simply referring to the early qualifying rounds. It doesn't take that long to bowl five games. Now, how long it takes to tally everything when it comes time to make cuts, that's different.

bass - you shoulda just stayed at the bar and drank your sorrows away like i did last year. Actually, there was a rolloff last year for the final spot that I was watching - can't remember what time it started, but I thought it was before 1:00.

Not to hijack the thread, but are you bringing a group to Burlington for the All-Star tourney this year?

Rob,
My last years Master's fiasco was enough.
Finished up bowling on either 67/68 or 69/70.
There was a bar set up right behind our lanes so I threw on a windshirt to cover up my name(PBA rules) went in to grab a beer before hauling my stuff outside.
The bartender informs me that the bar has just closed because the tournament has concluded for the day.
So I hauled out my stuff then went to another bar area and ordered a round of drinks for Steve D., Bigun and myself.
When out of the blue a guy who doublejumped me for the whole tournament(We tried to explain the lane courtesy to him on numerous occasions) stops by and askes me how I did.
I would have lost it on him but the gentleman in question is 6 inches taller than me and outweights me by a good 75 lbs.

As for as Burlington goes I haven't really looked into bowling it again.
A lot of road time for me if I make it all of the way to the finals(like I did in '03).
We are talking 17-20 hours of total travel time.
There just is no easy way for me to get to Burlington.

I just wished I didn't have to bowl on the low side last year...+76 on the high side, -90 on the low. And I only had 4 games back there vs. 6 on the high. GRRRRR.

I guess Oshkosh is a bit of a haul to Burlington.
