How much you wanna bet that the PBA hired those chicks to dress up in poodle skirts, hold up those signs, scream like the guys on the lanes are from a boy band, and just look like fools on national TV?  Pathetic.  The feather boas were a nice tough though, right?

I think Norm Duke was having a little fun after his match with them.....but yes I agree, thats a bit much. Thats like in wrestling a few years ago they would hire local strippers to get in the ring with "The Godfather" before and after the match. Way to go Walter by the way, he looked good in the first match.

The local news station showed footage of them, with the comment
"Even a sport like bowling has groupies."
I sent them an email complaining about their comments...

It beats people showing no emotion, remember you are marketing a sport not lulling them to sleep. Yeah it was a bit over the top but it was something. I still beats the lady who sang the National Anthem a few years ago. I actually miss the fans getting into clapping and cheering.

Every one that keeps complaining about the "new" PBA is a hardcore bowling fan who would watch no matter what.  What the PBA is trying to do is make bowling more interesting to the recreational bowler.  The reason why the women's tour folded (in part at least) is becuase ratings went down.  Low ratings means no TV, no TV means less money, less money means less bowlers.

Personally I thought the girls were funny and made it a little more interesting.  THey have to market to the masses, not a select few.  They must be doing something right since prize funds, and I believe, ratings have increased.

Theses guys are getting paid to do something that we all PAY to do, I want to see them having fun.  Does anyone really want to see "9/ sit down" for 90 minutes?  So if they need to plant some people in the front row to be a little goofy in order to get the players personalities out and in order to increase ratings I'm all for it.
