Very interesting fact for Norman Duke and Amleto Monacelli. Both of them changed bowling ball sponsorship to Brunswick and become winners. Using same type of bowling balls. Monacelli using two types of Infernos. Next week we need to look who changes bowling ball sponsorship and watch how they come out.

Duke didn't win when throwing Columbia and AMF?? Hmm, who got credit for those other 20 PBA wins?
It's not the ball; it's the bowler, first, last and always.

why Brunswick of course...I mean...just their presence around duke when he was with AMF & Columbia was good enough to get him 20 wins

ct I think he's looking at the fact that Duke did not have the guns to win the war with the AMF stuff. The Absolute in his hands looked very good but I'll have to see him make another couple of shows before I give ANY of the credit to the ball company.

very well put jeff...
have we not forgotten how great these guys are, that we now relate their success to the company they get equipment from? every post on this site now has something to do with a PBA'er switching companies and all of a sudden becoming great again, like many of them werent great already. voss has been doing pretty darn good with AMF, and i dont know anyone who particularly raves about AMF's equipment...does that mean he would win every week throwing storm or brunswick? most of these guys can be successful regardless of what ball theyre throwing...were taking credit away from them by saying how much of a difference a ball company makes. it may have an effect, but not nearly as blown-out-of-proportion as this site makes it seem.

It is basically this year that I am talking about. What is helping them now. Sure they had their wins with other balls in other situations. The past is past. By the way I am not an exclusive Brunswick user or an advocate for it. For me any type of ball works but you need to find the one that suits your needs. That is what has help them over come their game these pass Sundays. They are using what is suitable for the present type of game and their styles for this second half of the PBA tournaments.
It was just an observation about how players make a transition that works and for others it does not in the present age of bowling. I am not taking away their credentials or abilities.
