It isn't the first time Shafer has put his foot in his mouth.

Bad karma and even worse timing.  Nothing worse than talking trash right before the commercial break.  Came back with a cold hand and it really showed.

Norm had a good year last year, made the show a lot.  This year is a great year so far, making the shows and taking that final match!

Shafer is a whining crybaby.  Correct me if I am wrong.  but, didnt these two get into a shouting match last year during a round of 8 match where Shafer got booed on tv during the pre match interview.  Shafer was destined to lose before the match even started today.

1.  No!  God!
2.  Whatever.  Unbelievable.

I loved it!!

I don't know why he made that comment, and yes they have some bad blood.  Ryan said that after tanking the 1st frame, then throwing 1 strike.  All that did was motivate Norm even more.  Ryan's lucky Norm didn't score higher, shouldn't have left those all those 10s.  Ryan then shook his hand and left the lanes.  What a loser, that's why Ryan's 4-8 in titles, while Norm is like 25-17.  Even when Norm loses w/some bad breaks, he doesn't act like a dick, and I'm not a Duke fan.

I feel the reason Norm doesn't act like a dick is it takes class to win and lose. Look back at some of the best athletes and you can tell who has class just by the way they act when the lose.

Norm Duke is a class bowler and I am sure a class guy in real life. Shafer will never be a class guy as he has not learned how to lose with grace.

Hey guys.

What gets me about Shafer, is that 5-10 years ago, I do not remember Ryan ever being this way.  Is it because of the pressures of being exempt to keep a job?  I remember back in the days where Shafer was with Ebonite.  He seemed so much more layed back and gracious for even being there.  Now, he is completely different.  Like a statement I saw on a search engine: "Jesus.  It is like he is bowling with Tourettes."

To be honest I really like Shafer, his game is unorthodox and he makes it work. Great talent. You gotta admit though today the not today norm comment blew up in his face...and it was pretty funny. I still like them both, two of my favorite bowlers but all I can say now is...DUKKEEE

Wow, you guys really dont like Shafer. I have no idea where this cry baby thing comes from . I have never seen him act like a cry baby in my life! Do you guys make this sh-t up? I have been watching him bowl for 22 years and I live an hour from Horseheads, never seen him act like a baby. Why dont you guys go find Norm and kiss his butt  some more!! He lives in Florida, losers! Duke is lucky Ryan left that 7-10, other wise he would not have won.

It was so amusing to see Duke just stay right there all day ( 4,5 and 6 board) I guess it goes to show everyone who has more that one game. Watching Shafer today, I couldn't say he made a lot of friends. The turmoil the 2 had last year, is still carried over to this year, at least as far as Shafer is concerned.
I can't remember a bad shot Duke made all day. That was a pretty bad attitude on Shafer's part stoeming off the lanes like that, he cant say Duke got lucky, Norm put the ball in the same place all day long.

After reading your profile, I see why you think Shafer is not a cry baby. Next time you see him in person you can kiss his hand as you think he is the Pope.
