Title: Oatman Rules This Week!
Post by: Necromancer on November 30, 2007, 12:55:21 AM
Not only did he qualify first in the round of 64, he dominated in the round of 32 with scores of: 246, 258, 279, 267 with a 4-0 sweep of ease and easily the highest 4 game total in the round of 32.

Go Billy!  This week is yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I'm not lefty, but Oatman is an exception.  He has mad charisma.  He is like a P-I-M-P on the approach!

I hope he makes it to the show.  The one he made last year was one of the best of the season.  Nothing makes the show more exciting than watching someone who really looks like they're having fun.

Yeah, he is always smiling and dancing and not cussing like some jerks that make it to the TV show.  And for those that thought I didn't like fat bowlers, Billy ain't no stick.  But he is still awesome to watch because he makes bowling look fun - not some torturous job.

I ain't feeling Bohn anymore.  He got old and his hook got week.  He reminds me of Chris Barnes.  If Oatman and Smith can make the show, this Sunday should be awesome.  I'd like to see Delutz too.

Billy's got a road ahead of him.  TD's no pushover and if he wins that, it's Barnes or WRW in the round of 8.  I would not want to have to beat WRW's gutter shot to make the show.  Even if it's Barnes, no matter how he does on TV he's still a killer during the week.

But Billy's on a roll, maybe his momentum will hold up.

Forgive my ignorance, but has an African American won a title in the past decade?  I know Billy is the first to become exempt, but I think I recall another gentleman won a tournament years ago.

Hey, that's a good trivia question.  First to answer gets bragging rights and an official FIGJAM button.

I think Branham was the only one to win a major.  I think there were some others that won in the 70s and 80s.

I can't think of any others.  Robert Smith, Tommy Jones, Pete Weber have some sort of fun.  The majority of others either frown, cuss, or kick things like McCune.

But no one else looks like they having the time of their lives.  It was like he couldn't believe his good fortune, almost had that kid-in-a-candy-store energy.  Not just the competitive fire like Haugen had when he won two weeks ago, but really enjoying himself.

I think you are missing it though.  A lot of the time the guys (Weber for instance that you mentioned there) are on there joking around and having fun with the crowd.

I really like Oatman because of his style (quite smooth) and his attitude on the show makes for good TV.  I have just always wondered why some people act like he is the only one to have fun on the show.

On a side note, if you want to hear some good Oatman interviews (some of my favorite interviews they have done) check out www.gobowlingshow.com.  One interview was before he was on TV and one was after I believe.

I won't argue there.  That show he made was pretty exciting and everyone was pulling for him to win.  I am curious how he will act if he makes this show.  He has to be in some kind of zone to be constantly shooting those big scores.

Well after the round of 32, there are still five lefty's left..I am not a lefty
either, however, I think one of them if not two will be on the final four.

This should be an interesting show methinks.  At least leading up to it.  WRW just dropped a 300 to cap off his series there.

This week is Oatman's.  Just give him the title now.  His average is like 260+ for the tournament and no one is even close.  He is bowling like the Patriots.

WRW just tossed a 300, that match is over, setting up Oatman vs. WRW in the Round of 8, should be entertaining and high scoring.  The first one to miss twice or once may lose the game.

WRW will want this one (for POY points)  and he won't let people say that he left it open (as scrambled eggs go down his dockers) because he won't let that happen again (like two weeks ago when he lost to Todd Book in the Round of 8).  Hehe, had to say it.  Either way we will see scrambled eggs go down WRW's dockers on Sunday.

That sucks they have the best 2 bowling each other in the round of 8.  They should be on TV on Sunday not bowling today.  I'd rather see Billy win.  It will do a lot of good for the increasing interest among bowlers.

My ideal show right now,

Oatman vs Beasley
Eagle vs Rash

You get the happy-go-lucky vs the 1st timer on TV and then the ultimate in contrary styles between Dale Eagle and Rash.

Billy = Charisma to the max like a superhero
Eagle = Old guy, people's champ, wing flapping

Hmm, I would be happy with Oatman or WRW on the show.  Bohn or Eagle.  Then in the other brackets I don't care really.  Less Sean Rash if possible on TV.

I think just certain people like watching certain things.  I read on here that a lot of people hate watching WRW, but I like watching him.  I personally can't stand watching Rash and TJ just for the gum flapping and squeaky voices.

Here (http://"http://pba.com/livescoring/LiveScoring.aspx").  Click on the individual matches for frame-by-frame updates.

The PBA could make more money by offering subscriptions for qualifying and early tournament live streaming video online.  I would pay like $20/yr for it or somthing.  Or they could charge you per tournament.  I'd pay like $5 or $10 a tournament.  Most of the good matches take place outside of Sunday.

Just the thing for when Strikepass (http://"http://pba.com/strikepass/nowplaying.asp?mode=all") and Xtra Frames (http://"http://www.pba.com/xtraframe") aren't enough.

Maybe they could do different levels of XTRA FRAME...  Like if you pay more they will include more levels of the tournament.  They would only need to keep the videos online for a week or so.  Personally, I wouldn't even mind watching the people trying to qualify.
