PBA Doubles

Just checked out the PBA site which now lists the first two rounds of the Doubles Tourney.  I have to say that I am very impressed that there were so many exempt guys who are bowling this "mini" event.  I understand that it is in the same place  as the next "real" stop, but no one was rushing them to get there.  It is obvious that they wanted to be there.  Chalk one up for competition.

no scores avaialble at 4:15PM(CST). this is getting old. there are many times when i want to check on the progress of the tournament and can't because there are technical problems. when the owners of the pba retired from microsoft did they take all the technology and tech support with them ?

Maybe they are keeping everything under wraps. The exempt doubles show is not slated to air until February 3rd.

There is nothing left for Walter Ray to prove either, but he is still out there.  Why?  He loves the competition.  All of these guys love competing on tour or they wouldn't be there.  Yeah, his best friend may no longer be exempt, but it is not like he doesn't have any other friends on tour.  In case you haven't noticed, Duke and Machuga are good friends.  Plus, Norm signed on with Storm just this year.  On top of all that, he is only 49th on the points list despite his struggles.  That's less than 10,000 points with 8 events to go in the season, including 3 majors.  I wouldn't count Norm out just yet, even if he doesn't win a title.

I was wondering, and I am too lazy to look, but was this Doubles event and added event, or did it take the place of a previous tournament? Just wondering, because if it took the place of another tournament, I was wondering what some of the pros would think about it, when they are in a way, putting their chances for an exemption into someone else's hands...

voss didnt get out out to the pasture BY the pba he didnt qualify not the pbas fault.

The doubles tournament is held the same week and place as the TOC. The TOC starts tomorrow.

 I think they had the doubles event so that even non TOC qualified bowlers had something to bowl.
