He withdrew after the first block.  Wonder if he injured himself during that last game.  Sucks, because I just put him back on my team after a couple weeks off.

Its hard to believe how great his dad was on and off the lanes, that Pete has such a horrible temper..

ugh, another basher. How much can you really judge a guy from what you see on T.V. or in the alley? From what I hear he is just very competetive and intense. Heaven forbid anyone ever gets any emotion!

Unless you have met him on several occasion I really don't think you can judge him.

lefty,

I have seen him in person multiple times and he has always been the same.. Not very approachable. There is nothing worng with being competetive and showing emotion but storming out of a bowling center after losing and not talking with the fans and signing autographs for kids is ridiclous. The PBA right now needs to be gaining fan interest, not loing fans and that type of attitude is not good for that..

Thats all I meant to say.. I was not bashing him in anyway.. Pete is one of the greatest ever, no doubt about that I just wish he was a little more "fan friendly".. I met his dad many years ago and he was wonderful, an amazing man..

I will agree that Pete can be a jerk at times, but usually it's when he's trying to get settled, or get his equipment together.
I bowl in midwest regionals with Pete sometimes and found that when he's waiting around to bowl he's very approachable. Sometimes he'll strike up the conversation. Don't judge by what you see on T.V. The PBA has no problem how Pete acts because he puts butts in the seats

Hmmm.

Maybe trying to get a hold of him after losing isn't the best time to do so. I know he is suppose to be professional, but they are all human. If you just lost a chance at 25k you might be upset and not willing to sign autographs and talk to people either.
I also thought I heard somewhere that he had a very hard time growing up under his dad's shadow. He knows what kind of man his dad was, and also knows that he is not like that. Kinda like everyone is looking to see how good Michael Jordan's kid is at basketball. Well, maybe not to that extent, but you know what I mean, right?
 
Please, don't think I am arguing or anything. Too many times do I see people attack each other back and forth over pointless $h1t. Hope you know I am not one of those people.

I've met Pete on a couple of occasions, and he's always been nice to me and to every one around him, from what I could see.
A friend of mine was trying out for the PBA years ago and he ran into money troubles after qualifying in the rabbit squad.  Pete happened to see this man bowl, was quite impressed and went to wish him good luck in the regular tournament.  My friend told Pete that he was down and out, and Pete not even knowing this person, without being asked, put him up.  Have always overlooked Pete's antics since then, 'cause I know he's got a heart.

I have met Pete before and hes a good guy, he just doesen't like to be bothered while hes bowling.....but who does?

The Bayer classic is bowled at my home house this week.  Pete WD because he knew that the lefties had the nuts again and that he couldnt knock a rack down. The scores was out of sight.  The motto this week was if you didnt strike on the first ball you was behind...

I thought that Pete was going to make a little run late in the first block when he goes 268 on 7-8 and then goes down to 17-18 and couldnt get anything going and then just started throwing spares away and shoots 126.  then he withdraws.
