Invasion vs the Mutant Cell
« on: March 09, 2010, 01:04:03 PM »
Hello to you all:

My question is regarding the Invasion vs the Mutant Cell, I watch regularly some PBA Xtra Frame productions, and see that the Storm-Roto guys use more in medium to heavy oil the Invasion over the Mutant, is the invasion that much powerful and versatile ball..???  I ask this because even Wes is bowling more whit the invasion rather than the new mutant.

I have both, but don't bowl on any of the PBA conditions.  The Mutant seems to go long and has a very hard angle to the pocket.  My Invasion seems to rev up more in the midlane, with a bit more controlled backend reaction.  I can see why they would use the Invasion more because I think it's a bit more predictable, but again thats on a THS not a PBA condition.  I hope someone who bowls on some of the PBA conditions will reply to this topic.  BTW, I love both of these balls, because they are so different, if one's not hitting right or carrying, I can switch and get a completely different reaction without having to move on the approach much or change my line.
