Michelle Feldman & Liz johnson again. Rudy Revs on top
« on: December 13, 2006, 05:45:01 AM »
These ladies have really stepped up their game this year:

15  Michelle Feldman Skaneateles, N.Y.  A  7  1498  +98  214.00
28  Liz Johnson Cheektowaga, N.Y.  A  7  1442  +42  206.00

Also of note.... Rudy Revs is on the top:
1  Rudy Kasimakis Tupelo, Miss.  A  7  1606  +206  229.43

Knowing how Rudy & Michelle like to swing the ball it's pretty obvious that the shark pattern is playing the way it's supposed to.
"This pattern forces bowlers to play deep inside the center of the lanes, like sharks that troll the depths of the ocean."

i think this is the best pattern for Rudy revs, with his release missing few boards i think wont be penalized too much.

but why they are saying this is goin to be his last event as a full time bowler? hes doing something else from now on?

Maybe he's doing like Randy Pedersen and Bob Learn.  Both have given up their full-time PBA status and are no longer bowling PBA events regularly.  Randy said at the end of last season that he was retiring from bowling full time, that he wouldn't be bowling PTQs every week like he had been for two years.  I think Bob Learn is working for the USBC now and isn't bowling PBA events regularly.  Maybe Rudy's going the part-time regional route so he can stay home more.  Tupelo's not far from here, maybe some of the locals that know him know more about it.

Just reading the PBA boards and such, RR may not be the only one packing it in.  The reduced prize fund is NOT good for the game we all love.

ROFL!!!!!

Michelle and Liz are great bowlers, but I definitely wouldn't want to be "on top" of that, LOL!

Also of note, Ed VanDaniker, Jr. made it through qualifying again. The kid made match play just a couple of weeks ago. Looks like a rising star!

i think the real reason rudy kasimakis is not going to be bowling full time any more is rather obvious. he is not versatile enough to compete against the best players in the world week in and week out. i say this not because i don't like him as a person---i'm sure he's an ok guy. but he's never bowled well enough to win a title let alone be a dominating factor on the pba tour. he had a lot of hype when he came to the pba in 1998 and even made 3 telecasts his first two years on tour but has since struggled to even be exempt.

a friend of mine bowled at wichita state and has competed and coached at the international level. when i questioned him about the great amateur players who turned pro these names came up:

chris barnes
patrick healey, jr.
mika
robert smith
rudy kasimakis
brad angelo
paul fleming
sean rash

he stated that rudy kasimakis was too one dimensional and was not versatile enough compared to chris barnes and mika.

i really wonder how rudy plays the cheetah pattern? with the way he releases the ball the path should be ridiculous (i mean way too crazy)!
