Parker Bohn III....poetry in motion
« on: January 17, 2008, 03:27:20 AM »
I'd always thought he was great.  Then for a few years he looked REALLY good but not great.

What ever he has changed OR CHANGED BACK now makes him look just absolutely GREAT.

Like Dave Davis, like syrup, like Bobby Jones with a golf club, like Greg Louganis powering off the board!

Wow....to get to watch his great ...incredible form right now is a privelege.

Agree?

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS for a year or two I heard he tried 0 lateral pitch and has now gone back closer to "old style"(lateral left for a lefty)....don't know...

Lots of old fashioned reverse and left lateral

He's awesome.
Accurate, smooth, with devastating ball roll.
And a really nice guy, to boot!

Very good thrower....

But what does he know.....?  16 pound balls, lots of reverse in his thumb pitch....when will he learn!

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS a case of the "BEST" maybe getting even better!

I know one of his teachers the great Dave Davis and its very similar.

Fun to be around and great to watch!

I've heard only good things about Parker Bohn!

Isn't it aswesome when great athletes are great people?

It is what was always heard about the great Bobby Jones.

I'll seond that.  PBIII he did a meet and greet at my local center a few years ago, and he was great.  Talked with everyone, answered questions, and bowled several games with the locals.  He couldn't have been more friendly and informative.

Bruswick Gurus...

Didn't Parker try a different set of pitches for awhile and develop shoulder problems.

IT looks like a small change back to similar to old setup.

Was he not 1/4 left and 1/4 reverse for awhile.  Then 0 left and ? reverse for awhile(shoulder problem time?) now 1/8 left and 5/16 reverse...since when...since return to syrup time???  Or should I say...."butter" time?

PBIII is definitely my favorite in terms of style.  Not to mention his TV charisma.

Hey wasn't it like 4 weeks ago that people were calling him washed up on here?

When PBIII is on TV, I turn my chair around and watch the tube in the mirror.
He looks even better when he throws it with the right hand!

Seriously though, PBIII is one of my favorites to watch. I keep telling my kids to bowl like him (not like Max Bob).

parker had to really make some changes in his game. his style was harder and straighter back in the 80's and 90's and that doesn't work as well nowadays. he's also changed his followthrough.
