Post by: KMUMPS on February 03, 2013, 04:28:59 PM
Did anyone else notice that Quinton Aaron was throwing a 900 Global Train on the show today?

Not only that, but he's throwing it pretty good, too!

Did anybody expect those kind of scores in a celebrity match?? I'm not saying it was always pretty, but those guys were good today!

It def looked like Quinton was throwing a 900 Global Train...but wouldn't he be throwing one of the companies that paid the PBA registration fee? I'm thinking it could also be either the Columbia 300 Freeze Hybrid or the new Roto Grip Wrecker. Anyway fun show all together! Great bowling!

Completely possible, but it's not like he's a PBA member... May not have mattered in a fun competition like this.

This wasn't a PBA event.  This was a Chris Paul CP3 Foundation Event filmed by ESPN, starring PBA players.  They could throw whatever they want, PBA Product rules don't apply.

This was an awesome show though.

It was definitely a Train as the camera even zoomed in on the logo in one shot.

I must have missed that, nice! Way to stick it to the PBA and show a 900 Global product win on tv! Go 900 Global!! haha!

NOTE: Though I also noticed that Aaron was holding a Brunswick Meanstreak for the pic sent out by the PBA. Do you think he was holding the Train and somebody told him to change balls for the picture??

All I have to say is that the show was very entertaining. Kevin Hart had me cracking up. And Barnes made me laugh even harder during his 10th frame. "BE A CHAMPION KEVIN!"

Speaking of balls, one had a large "12" on it - maybe a Lind's????? Quite entertaining!!

On Facebook, Aaron was also seen posing with Ron Hickland and a new Hammer First Blood

Yeah, that giant was throwing a Train. I thought that was hilarious, but the PBA probably didn't, considering them switching it out for the Meanstreak in that picture!

The final doubles match was really fun to watch.

Oh yeah! I enjoyed that show! Who knew Kevin Hart could actually throw ten strikes in a row???!!!! Great matches!! 270-267!!! Whoa!

And Barnes was actually on the approach, talking sh*t with the rest of the guys!! I loved it!

Does anyone else notice just what an arrogant jerk that Chris Barnes really is?? There is no doubt that he is talented, but what a prick this prima boy is. He continues to demonstrate with every tv appearance that he has zero class!! They want to portray him as this intelligent and caring family man, though in all reality he acts like a punk when things are going his way, and pouts like a little bitch when he is bowling poorly. Angelo should have laid him out cold when Barnes cried repeatedly over the Brooklyn a couple of years ago...

I'd rather bowl against Chris Barnes than Pete Weber or Sean Rash. I wouldn't be able to not hit them after a couple frames.

Hell, at the pro am I went to in high school, I wanted to lay PDW out for the way he acts outside of bowling...

Chill out. He's the real deal, and probably the smartest and best bowler on tour.

I'm sure you know him very well....he isn't happy when he's bowling bad because his _____ing mortgage payment depends on it.

Go back to league and whine over missing 5 left and wrapping a 10 pin.

I wasn't even sure that was a bowling ball Quinton Aaron was throwing, he is such a large guy that it looked like a softball would look in my hands. All I could do was laugh about how small it looked the whole time I was watching the show.

I was surprised at how small Lamar Woodley looked next to him!

Hilarious comeback, russell.  True in every respect.

Russell, Dave and Long Gone Daddy: Three more Chris Barnes hero worshiper's who have been easily brainwashed to believe that he is not an absolute moron... And, yes, Russell I know the man very well, and have bowled in tournaments with his majesty on many occasions. Again, I will never doubt his skill level or his intellect, but I know firsthand (as well as a lot of other folks) that he is an egotistical, classless person. I am sure the amazing, Russell will repeat that I am a bitter house bowler who cannot hit his mark and whines about leaving ten pins, but that's okay, for I know who the real Chris Barnes is, and I am not afraid to voice my opinion...

I'm sure that everybody that knows you thinks you're the salt of the earth too.  Keep your hearsay and your opinions to yourself.  None of what you say is verifiable.  Did you get your panties in a bunch when you fluffed one up the 5 board and left the back row and he laughed and said "nice shot", or worse, he just didn't acknowledge your presence at all?
Who cares what you think about a guy's personality?  The thousands that he helps out in charities would probably have a different opinion.  Even that doesn't matter to me.  I watch him on t.v. because he's one of the greatest bowlers ever.  Grow up.

I don't know Chris personally but living in DFW area, I have heard stories of Mr Barnes which validates he's a classless guy off the lanes. When I worked at a shop in Chicago, I had the opportunity to work with Fred Borden and Chris and actually got to picked both up at airport. He was a very nice person back then. Again all I've heard is stories and rumors around here on how a bad family man he is and what he's like away and out on tour. Don't forget to watch my buddy DJ Archer on TV this afternoon and watch my other friend Dino Castillo when his team bowls also this afternoon.

Chris Barnes not a family man?  Have you seen how he acts with his kids and wife when they are on the show?  Did you see the movie "A League of Ordinary Gentlemen"?  What in the hell are these rumors based on?  Go with your own experience where you said he was a very nice person.  People in this society hate winners.  They are people to be torn down and destroyed.  It's sad.

I know he's a good man, and up until I moved down here I never heard such a thing. I'm not bashing him or anything just stating stuff I've heard. Chris is great with his family I bet.
