PBA BOWLER
« on: December 07, 2008, 01:18:01 AM »
Not hijack this thread or post. But to add to it.What is your favorite PBA Bowler to watch not of now but in the past like 60's to 90's even earlier than that if possible?
I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.

Maybe the post should read favorite bowlers to watch, as pinning down just 1 is very hard to do.

I totally agree with tonybowls, Mark Roth and Wayne Webb are definitely 2 of my favorites.  Adding to that, I would also list Pete Weber, Amleto Monacelli, Steve Cook, and David Ozio.

But if it absolutely has to be just 1, then I would take Mark Roth at his prime.

Guppy Troup.
You never knew what the guy was going to wear. He was outlandish and a bit wacky. A true character in every sense of the word.

Earl Anthony, Mark Roth, Bob Learn Jr. Was fun laughing at Randy bowling again and watching his failures over again. Also Rudy Revs, because he talked trash on the tv show while he was getting absolutely destroyed in the match.

I enjoyed watching
Marshall Holman
Dave Davis
Mark Roth
Ray Bluth
Steve Cook
Bob Handley
John Gant

I hated watching:
Brian Voss
David Ozio
Parker Bohn III
because they were just so perfect, going to and at the foul line.
I can only dream of an approach and delivery like theirs.

Randy has one of the best TV win/loss records of all time. Besides the stone 8 against Ernie, which was nothing more than a terrible break, what "failures" are you talking about?
