I see that Ronnie Russell is in the trials, does that mean that Voss got his exemption?

Mike Norris withdrew today.  I wonder if it was due to a fry out session?

He's burned out from all the bowling he's been doing working with Kurt Pilon on somethings on his game and Equipment. Like his attitude or not, the guy can flat out play when his mind is there. He was out on tour back in the 90's and a ball Rep for Lane 1 back then. He was also a great action player and still is when his mind is there. I heard that Pilon even said that Norris is good enough to be out on tour, he just needs to fine tune some things with his game and that's what Kurt's working on him with. Yesterday he just missed too many spares and had 2 guys on his pair that were just toasting the lanes with sandblasted balls.

He'll be back on on tour again, if he doesn't make it through the regionals this year, he'll make trials next year and win a spot.

Thanks youse guys!  Today was fun.  I matched up well and threw the ball even better than yesterday.  I missed two spares again today, but didn't shoot nearly as many!!!  I threw my Fury for the first 3 games or so.  Changed to a Thunderstruck solid in the middle of game 4.  Transition was coming, and I don't throw the ball hard enough to keep the semi shiny Fury from burning up too fast.  Left a few tens on pretty good shots.  Made a great ball change, the Thunderstruck was money.

The lanes got a little choppy around game 7, had a bad pair that game, fronts hooked, middles were slick slick, and the back ends were tight, I think I was hight on my pair with that 180, and I fouled on the fill ball, should have been 187.  The game 8 pair was sweet.  Spare 10 bagger when I needed it.  Wash out on the fill ball, when I leaked it a little right.

Stevie Weber bowled awesome today.  That was not a 250 pattern, but like me, his ball speed and rev rate matched up perfect.  I crossed with Dave Beres today, he is solid, not fancy, almost boring.  Makes his spares, adjusts well, makes ball changes well, good ball speed, some revs, kinda tweener.  Good Bowler. Think he is around 2nd or 3rd overall.  Didn't really have anybody around me that y'all have mentioned.  Pretty sure Eddie Van Daniker bowled well again today.

Bob Hale had a 287 today, but he was up and down, good bowler.  Crossed next to Matt Frieberg, he was struggling some today, changing hand positions, changing how he attacked the lanes.  Had some good games though.  Todd Book continues to lead, he is very solid.  Good player, Good helmet.  Chris Johnson bowled well again today, moving up to 8th overall I think.  Liz and Kelly are hanging around.

I met Mo Pinel today, he was cool.  I had just had steak at TGI Fridays, he was in the bar, so I introduced myself.  Said he would like to talk to me.... ??  Offered to buy me a drink, but I wanted to bowl the Chameleon practice, no Crown and Bowling... for me, told him I would take a rain check...

Chameleon was a little touchy.  You could hook it, you could play straighter, in, out, edge, but you just couldn't miss.  I had a nice look off the edge with a No Mercy with the pin over my fingers, and Hart RIGHT of my thumb hole.  This ball sucks normally, but I kept around for something like this.  Also had a nice shot with a G Force Nebula with 1000 grit Abralon on it.  Pin over the fingers, about 5 1/4 from my PAP, MB around 60 degrees, no hole.  I thought the best plan was something that was clean through the front, but not super long, and also, not jumpy, not too strong off the dry.

Oh well, more tomorrow!
