PBA Doubles
« on: January 21, 2008, 10:00:06 AM »
Just checked out the PBA site which now lists the first two rounds of the Doubles Tourney.  I have to say that I am very impressed that there were so many exempt guys who are bowling this "mini" event.  I understand that it is in the same place  as the next "real" stop, but no one was rushing them to get there.  It is obvious that they wanted to be there.  Chalk one up for competition.

Wayne Webb is in the 33rd spot at the moment.  There's a blast from the past.

This isnt a "side event"...this is a points tournament so pretty much everybody bowled this week. I do know that Shafer took the week off to rest a very sore hand and get ready for the TofC

Is Norm Duke in danger of not being exempt now? I would assume it is too late for an injury deferment, is it not?

Possibly losing Duke will be a big change on tour.  He is a fan favorite..

I kinda miss Voss out there too.

It was down earlier, now it simply says that scores are not available for this round.  My guess is that they didn't design it to work with the doubles format and it is not worth fixing it to accommodate a once-a-year (if that) tournament.

I see your point, but they don't have to have the live frame by frame, just give us the updates after each game, just like qualifying, that is fine with me.
