PBA Regional Clinic - Willowbrook, IL
« on: April 11, 2008, 05:06:28 AM »
We will be trying out a new program at the Willowbrook Regional on May 16th. The new program is an educational clinic, targeted to the non-member and the "fringe member" that bowls only a few regionals per year. Of course anybody is invited, but some of the information may be a little redundant for the more veteran members.

The Clinic will consist of :
2 hour classroom setting including -
Lane Play Strategies ( including tips from the top exempt players )
Equipment Options / Surface Preperation
Physigal Game suggestions
Mental Game suggestions
Basic Rules / Etiquette "explanation" ( to help you prepare for your tournament experience )

Extended Practice Session :
The practice session will be extended by 1 hour. The first hour will include a group practice by everybody attending the clinic. The next 2 hours you will be available to practice on your own wherever you like ( i will be on hand to answer questions ). After the practice session there will be an optional group "review", where attendees can share information and ideas.

The cost will be :
$40.00 for PBA Members
$50.00 for Non-PBA Members
$75.00 for non anybody that is not entered in the event itself, but would like to attend the clinic

There is also a cut-off, just like the regional entry itself. There will be a $10.00 penalty added to the fee if you sign up AFTER May 12th ( same as the regional ).

Starting time will be 1:00 pm in the locker room area. We will take a short break after the classroom portion to allow everybody time to prepare for practice.

I will also be available for additional practice ( if lanes are available ) until the 9:30 pro-am. The cost will be $50.00 / hour per person ( fee does not include lineage ).

If you are interested, please contact me through this topic, e-amil me at jeff_carter1295@hotmail.com or call me at 217-741-8326 to enter. We are limiting the clinic to the first 20 people to sign up. Also, first option goes to those that are entered in the Regional itself. Dont miss your opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience that could help you become a better player.

We are also planning on another clinic during the Oak Forrest Regional based on the Scorpion pattern

Wow, I'm going to see if I can make one of these; this sounds like a great way to get some solid insight from those in the know. Jeff, I hope I'll be giving you a call or email to lock in a spot for Oak Forest.
