Carolyn Dorin-Ballard get Dallas exemption. Nice to see that she is recognized for both popular appeal and bowling talent.

I've got mixed feelings about this one. This one's obviously for the fans and the ratings.

However - if the shot is an outside soft shot, there's no woman who would do better.

Mumzie, the pattern for Dallas is C and that pattern rarely plays right of 10-12, especially in that center. Last year i dont think we ever got right of 20 during the qualifying rounds on C

As far as Carolyn getting the exemption, i am very happy for her. We have become close friends over the years and i am glad to see her get this opportunity.

However, I'd hazard a guess that CDB knows every board on every pair at DC West and that between now and the event she will have a real good idea of how Pattern C is likely to play on every pair

Any guesses on what pattern gets put out by Jim for the Big Mama event in a few weeks

I don’t know where she will be able to play the lanes.

No knock on Carolyn but because of her lower rev rate and lack of hitting up on the ball, I believe she will be able to play outside much longer than most of the guys ever could.

I saw her do this during a regional held in town and she has had success at the ABC masters as well.

Only time will tell.
