Well, looks like we know who the top 32 bowlers in regards to this week's Mile High Classic in Colorado.
Earlier this year I echoed how I wanted to see Dino Castillo succeed on this year's tour after gaining an exemption for the 05-06 PBA Season. Well, he just squeezed through beating out Blaise Bedolla for the 32nd spot to make it through the first rounds of match play.
This is Dino's first true test as he finds himself bowling against a good friend in Tommy Jones (Both Ebonite Staffers).
I am also a Tommy Jones fan and want to see him tie or break Jim Pencak's TV win record, but I also want to see fellow Filipino American Dino Castillo break through. Both have power games and are exciting to watch. I wonder if the Rookie & Former Team USA member Dino will have the mental toughness to get past the hot Tommy Jones?
SIDENOTE: Who will be the first out of the 10 Tour Trial winners to make the TV show?
This week we have 4 out of 10 tour trial winners making the Top 32
#9 Tom Daugherty, Tampa, Fla., 3,131.
#24 Chris Loschetter, Olmsted Falls, Ohio, 3,056. (Made t.v. last year)
#28 Christopher Collins, Fayetteville, N.C., 3,044.
#32 Dino Castillo, Carrollton, Texas, 3,021.

I think Loschetter will be the first to make the show, though. He did very well last week and he's on to the Round of 16 this week. I think he's getting Brad Angelo, though the brackets aren't posted in a convenient format like last year.

Was a joke. Sheesh. Dunno if he's got PoY in him this year. It's the third event. PA didn't start dominating until the second half when he won in Dallas and Birmingham. Heck, he didn't even make a show between Dallas and the Masters. Don't put all your eggs in the TJ basket just yet.
But that's not going to stop Dave Ryan from calling him the next PoY if he does happen to make the show.

Or WRW could win 3 titles this year, including a major, or Barnes could take a major and another title, or Mika could throw another 300, or Steve Jaros could win 3 shows, or...
He made four shows and won four times last year and they still didn't give it to him. Jaros won three times the year before and I don't remember him being PoY. If this were a major tournament and he won it, I might feel like calling him PoY after two weeks.
But there are too many other good bowlers that haven't even gotten rolling. Candidate? Fo' shizzie. Shoe-in? Let's wait and see what else happens in the 90% of the season yet to come.

I'd like to see some other faces on TV, though. I've heard lots about Fagan but I've yet to see him on TV. Rudy as well.
