PBA Phoenix Classic - Round of 8
« on: January 20, 2006, 08:28:32 AM »
Holy Cow!

So far here are the matchups...

Del Ballard Jr. Vs. Dino Castillo

Mike Devaney Vs. Mike Fagan

Ryan Shafer Vs. Ritchie Allen

Brian Kretzer Vs. Robert Smith

Holy Cow, look at the caliber here. Guys with tons of hand!
It's going to be a good show.

I am in a predicament, because I have always been a big Del Ballard Jr. Fan growing up. Also, Dino Castillo is one of my favorites. I hope he makes his first show of the year, but he has a very Hungry Del in his way.

Del is looking to JumpStart his career again and Dino the former Team USA'er is looking to earn another exemption. This is a great storyline.

These are the 4 I would like to see on Sunday's Telecast...
Dino Castillo or Del Ballard Jr.
Mike Fagan (Crossing my fingers)
Ritchie Allen
Maximum Bob

Take er' easy!

Any of them but Shafer. I cringe watching this guy pop up and hit the ball on the upswing.

Go Dino if you have ever met him you will know what i mean, super cool guy and does not think he is gods gift to bowling. I like the way this show is going it will be good to see a different group and hopefully see Del on tv again. I guess i have no real favorite out of dino or del both ways are both great guys.

Barnes lost game 7, so Fagan is in.. I am hoping for Dino or Ballard to get the win. Need to stick with the TX connection boys!! LOL..

Same picks as me, Ram.  It's not that I don't care about the Ballard-Castillo match, but either would be neat.  I've never seen Castillo bowl (possibly Weber Cup, but I don't remember) and that'd be someone new.  It'd be very cool if Ballard ended up exempt next year, I know he went through Tour Trials and didn't make it, and it doesn't seem right that someone of his caliber should be forced out (exempt tour sucks!).

I hope Smith and Ballard make the show. Smith has made it to the round of 8 quite a few times this year. Tonight will be his night.

Gotta pull for Fagan...

...bowled with him a few times at NEBA and he was always nice to me.  It was nice to see him defete Barnes...sort of a small payback for when he beat him on Mike's only telecast.

You know, I just noticed that Jeff Carter made it to the round of 16.  Congrats to him, too bad he doesn't visit this site anymore.

Ballard was throwing the ball really well last week in Fountain Valley and it's nice to see that he's carried it over to the Motel 6 tournament.

GOOOO DINO!

I don't even know him or how he bowls.  I just want to see a Dino on the show

I'd love to see the same people Rammy wants to see ... but I'd rather it be Dino over Del Ballard Jr.  DINO ALL THE WAY!

I just want to see new faces on TV.  I've never seen Dino bowl, and I can't remember how Mike Fagan bowls either.  I would have liked them to make the show.  Nevertheless, the show should be pretty good ... power players!

Del is one of my old favorites, & I wanted to see R. Smith make the show along with Mike Devaney. I now will be pulling for Mike As he is a family friend & hometown bowler.
