I'd probably have to go with Ciminelli. Even though Belmo has 2 majors, Ciminelli I think has had the better overall season with getting the US Open (toughest tournament to win and Belmo has never won it), and by having the 3 titles. Randy Pedersen made the comment of Duke saying a major is considered 1-1/2 titles during the show earlier today when the argument of Belmo or Ciminelli came up. So, if we were to assume Norm Duke's logic of a major being worth 1-1/2 titles, it would be Belmo: 3, Ciminelli: 3.5.
Also, Belmo did virtually nothing in the WSOB this fall. Ciminelli made 2 appearances on the show so far and fared much better. Yes, Belmo had a great start to the year and also appeared on some of the Summer Swing. Ciminelli has been consistent, made shows through 2 majors in the beginning of the year, and won his titles, including the major in the back half of the year.
The other thing I'm thinking is don't be surprised if some of the PBA players decide on Ciminelli just because of Belmo. In fact, 1 vote in Ciminelli's corner already is likely Sean Rash, since he and Ciminelli are great friends.
