Who do you have?
Belmo's 2 Majors VS Ciminelli's one major and two regulars plus a third in World Championships.

All the lefties didn't get good at the same time by coincidence.

Bowling will never be fair, never has been, never will be.

You can not start putting down less oil on the left side to try and even it out.  You will never get it so the transition is equal.  It is not that the lanes are different from the left to the right.  There are just less bowlers.  The left side still changes it is just not as fast a change as the right side.  The left handed bowlers do not have it any easier or harder than the right handed.  People need to stop using this as an excuse.

BTW, I am right handed.

I think Ciminelli should get the award.  He has won more tournaments than Belmonte.

The WSOB may have been slanted to the left, but look at the US Open, Ciminelli was the ONLY lefty to make match play and ended up leading by 461 pins. I find it understandable people have a hard time giving credit to some lefties for their WSOB performance, but he is no fluke whether the left is slanted or not. There's a good chance he's still on a show or two or even more regardless of the lefty fest. He already proved that. It's a toss up between the two to be honest. Will be interesting to see who gets it. When it comes down to it, they are the two most dominating players on tour right now, even with Belmo struggling at the Stadium.

I think the stats speak for themselves and it really isn't that close if you're looking at the entire year...

Average
Jason Belmonte - 226.22
Ryan Cimenelli - 223.71
Jason averaged 217.11 for 42 games and Ryan averaged 230.46 for 83 games at the WSOB. (These averages are calculated above as PBA.com only lists averages and events bowled, not number of games)

Earnings
Belmonte - $178,542
Ciminelli- $147,661

Cashes
Belmonte- 18 of 24 (75%)
Ciminelli- 13 of 22 (59%)

Match Play Appearances
Belmonte- 11 of 24 (46%)
Ciminelli- 9 of 22 (41%)

TV Shows
Belmonte- 11
Ciminelli- 4

Titles
Belmonte- 2 (both major titles)
Ciminelli- 3 (1 major)

Take the names out, then compare. Unbiasedly, the top bowler (Belmo) has better stats on the year.
