Up here at Ten Pin Lanes in St. Matthews, Ky we have had a huge Ladies only tourny called the Derby Fillies every year for many years now. It always brings in people from as far as Maine, Florida, Loiusiana, Kansas, Michigan, and other surrounding states.
I work up at Ten Pin, and got the priviledge of watching Mrs. Shannon Pluhowsky bowl in team events twice today. Is she not from Phoenix, AZ? I have to say, I dont think I have ever seen a bowler as smooth as she is. I was going to try and get a video of her and post it, but she finished before I got a chance.
If anybody has seen her on TV, she is almost smoother in person than she is on TV. It is absolutely amazing. Out of the 6 games I got to watch, I never heard he ball hit the lane once. She only missed her mark 3 or 4 times out of the 6 games I watched, besides that, she hit the exact same spot on the lane over and over and over. Her entire approach and delivery look flawless.
To make my evening even better, the rest of her team also had some amazing talent. Some very smooth ladies, and 1 power played that could put some serious hand into the ball. All very consistant and very accurate.
Shannon was throwing her Virtual Gravity the whole shift, and went 279, 204, 247 for a 730 series. I didnt catch her 2nd shift scores. She cleaned up in brackets mostly too. I also saw another one of her teammate thowing a Virtual Gravity, and another teammate throwing a Cool Noize.

I have to admit, after watching her team bowl, I definitely admire them and thier games, the dynamics and entire deliveries are somthing to be desired. Even though im a pretty solid bowler, I could almost guarentee anybody on that team could prolly kick my butt up and down the lanes...

I work tomorrow too and there are multiple huge shifts coming in. If she happens to bowl again, I will see if I can get some video of her...if anybody is around louisville, it would be worth dropping by and watching some of the ladies bowl. While most are there for fun, there are a few VERY talented bowlers that come through, and they are always something to watch...

Anyhow, I got to watch her today too. Her and her partner, Megan Kelly shot 1546 scratch in doubles today, averging almost 260 per game. I was extremely impressed. Shannon shot 772 and Megan shot 774. Both had 279's in their sets. I also learned that Shannon cleaned up in an amazing 41 out of the 43 brackets. Her book average was 239 and her partners was 227. I have a very short 5 second clip I got of her last ball in doubles, I will try to upload it tonight. Very impressive performance, I think for all-events she went 730 in team, 658 in singles, and 772 in doubles. I truly enjoyed watching her bowl, and definitely hope she encourages other high profile bowlers to come to this tourny, as it is the biggest womens tourny around, and one of the biggest tournys period in ky. I have also heard the payouts are some of the best around too.
