PBA Skills Challenge
Tony Reyes Vs. Norm Duke

Segment on bowlers just making the exempt field or just missing it for next season
Featuring: Dave & Dale Traber, Paul Fleming, Tommy Delutz Jr. & Others.

Did anyone else notice the remote controlled cameras near the bowlers seats (On top of the ball return)?
Guess this does away with the live cameraman in the face of the bowlers.
Looks like it works pretty neat too!

Enjoy the show everyone,
Ram

Yeah, I saw a camera on top of the ball return spin around during the approach, and I was like WTF?  Kind of neat.

Also nice to see Norm bringing some intelligence to combat Dave Ryan.

Ive seen that too, looks really cool get to see a whole different look at the players. I like it, looks like it might be a little distracting to the players though. Im also liking the NO COMMERCIAL break aspect of the show.

I heard that as well...  Is that why Norm is on the show, is it a test run perhaps?

I really like him on the telecast and watching him bowl. Some don't, but he's good at what he does.

I also heard Pedersen say he was all done, that this was his last year.  Thats why Chris Barnes said "Sorry Randy", was because Barnes told Pedersen he'd win this one for Randy.

To be honest I'd love to see Pedersen be the full play by play guy.  He is pretty chatty, and has enough smarts/humor to pull it off.  I don't care for Pedersen the bowler, but you can tell he actually loves what he does.  I think Normie and Voss can handle the color duties.  Dave Ryan has not nor will he ever entertain me.

The first shot Barnes threw, the one out by the gutter, I think rattled him up. That was as near a gutter as it gets, but saved it.

Duke never adds much to the telecast, I'm not sure why they keep putting a microphone in front of him.

Norm just doesn't seem loose and natural behind the mic. Randy really knows his stuff, and Dave Ryan just covers alot of sports bowling being one of them, and Randy gives the tech stuff.

I don't see Duke being permanent until he's done bowling. Being on T.V. 7 or so times this year doesn't look like he's ready to hang it up yet.
