Congrats to today's winners...
« on: November 02, 2008, 09:11:49 AM »
Here's the story.

Props to Brad for winning his first title.  It's not easy to do under any circumstances, but winning it with the stepladder format is never an easy feat.

Credit to Brad for holding it together, making his adjustments, and getting the job done.

Stefanie Nation did a great bit of bowling today too. And she was fun to watch too...

I did not see the telecast.  However, AWESOME to see that Angelo got his first PBA Title.  He fell under "Best player not to win a title".  Hopefully catch the show on youtube.

Yeah, Angelo bowled good, but he coulda handled the victory with a little more class. Parading around the approach with that salad bowl over his head, shouting "WO-HOOOOOOOOOO!! THAT'S WHY I WORKED SO HARD FOR!!!!! Wo-HOOOOOOOOOOOO! YEAH, BABY!!!" Then he looks right into the camera and asked "WHADDA YOU LOOKING AT!?!?" Come on, Brad.....you're better than that, aren't ya?

And..........If you get to see the very end of the ladies match, Nation throws the count she needed to win the match, she grabs her salad bowl and starts parading around the lanes.......WITHOUT EVER SHAKING FELDMEN'S HAND (or givin' her a hug or whatever lady bowlers do).

Both these winners coulda handled there victories a little better, that's all I'm saying.

Hey, let him have his moment! He's worked hard for this time and he was even thinking of retirement to spend time with his family instead of all of the time spent traveling! Congrats to both of them and I enjoy sharing in their moment! Just my $.02, Bruce

Angelo isn't the most likable guy in person---at least away from the lanes. So, good for him for winning---but the celebration doesnt surprise me.

I got the chance to spend an entire afternoon and evening with Brad at the begining of summer.  He was giving PBA exp talks in our center.  He was actually very personable and knowledgable.  He was very helpful to any one who asked any questions.  I am very pleased to see him get his title today.  After spending the entire 2 sessions with him watching and listening he became one of my favorites instantly.  He really cares about the game.  What you all wont see is after the telecast went off the air and he had some time to let this sink in i am willing to bet that he had tears of joy and a lot of congratulations from other exempt players.

Congrats to Brad on his first win.  I did not have a problem with the way he handled his celebration.

Also congrats to Stefanie!!
