Ryan Ciminelli/Jason Belmonti great bowling

Much is being talked about out here on bowling condition fairness.

But this is the fact!  Last year Jason Belmonti had the best fundamentals of any two handed bowler ever.  His training with Ron Hoppe and Diandra Asbaty seemed to just give him very similar fundamentals as the best one handers.  A great posted slide, a super flat spot, and a very straight slide foot in relation to the path off his arm swing.
Add in choosing the right ball and line and all the obvious advantages of the two handed method(speed and revs and carry) and you have an incredible combination.

Right now I am amazed at the improvement in Ryan Ciminelli's fundamentals.  When they showed him winning a couple of years ago his front slide foot was turned across his body at many various degrees, he would often raise up on his toe only while sliding.

Today he has taken a page out of the books of the best stylists on the left, Dave Davis, Parker Bohn, and Earl Anthony.  He is posting each shot his slide foot is flat and his heel of his slide foot is consistently close to his swing arm every shot.  Classic posted technique at the foul line ala the Master of Style Dave Davis.  this combined with speed and coupled with revs can take the lane more out of play than for the other bowlers.

Plus Ryan looks a lot stronger today physically.  Strength, speed, revs and fundamentals looks like a tough combination to hold down.

PS Bill Taylor thought so much of the fundamental of keeping the heel of the slide foot close(r) to the arm swing than the toe that he wrote a book on leaves based on body position at the foul line.  He used to like to make money by calling pins left based on the relationship of the slide foot and arm swing.  I guess he was pretty good at it!

I like this point of view.  Revs + Speed = Carry.  But, you can't hit 'emas solid  as these two have without posting shots as they have.

I think Ciminelli looked amazing on the approach these last two telecasts, and I wouldn't mind seeing him win again soon.
