he finally made it past the round of 32. Maybe he'll continue to get by.

He only got as far as he did because his opponents did not bowl any high games.
PDW's wins have come due more to opponents bowling poorly than him bowling at the level guys like Voss, Duke, and Barnes did during this tournament.
I like PDW, but I have said I think he is struggling out there.

49th in the points list, coming into this week. I'd say you're right, he's struggling.
The only reason he isn't further down on the points list is that he's been bowling against either the PTQ leader or the Commissioner's Exemption every week. This is the first week he's beaten an exempt player, and the guy he beat has to be viewed as one of the weakest players on tour, D.J. Archer. Pete averaged 203 against DJ, by far the lowest among the winners in the Round of 32.
Shockingly enough, he even lost to the PTQ leader in the first round of the Pepsi Open last week.
I really can't see it happening, but if Pete continues to lose to less-talented players, he could look back at the week he took off (Uniroyal Tire Classic) as the reason he's not on tour next year.
On edit: nah, ain't gonna happen. Pete's too good a player to continue doing this poorly. He'll get back on track in time to boost himself up in the points list.

by virtue of his US Open win, he is exempt next year as well. Personally, I think he has a difficult time getting motivated. Other than the Masters, where he typically has a little tougher time, he bowls best in the bigger events. IMHO, I think you'll see him get it together as we enter the 2nd half of the season.

maybe next week. pete did win matches with some low scores.
he is struggling a bit, but he's always been a slow starter.
also, his us open win was a 3 yr exemption!!

Weber should be extremely motivated. He has never won player of the year and that's one of his remaining goals. so stop the nonsense about him not being motivated.

Well I will bet anyone $8948924587923478957834 that PDW will be on tv this Sunday...

PDW has an interesting first match this week - the Medford Meteor himself. If Marshall is anywhere close to tournament ready it's going to be a tough match for PDW.

Weber's main problem this week will probably be Brad Angelo. They look to be on a collision course toward a showdown. Jaros may give him a tough time as well. I don't see Holman knocking Weber out, that would be asking alot but he did Eliminate Walter Ray a couple of years ago in Medford so I guess anything's possible.
