Ciminelli could win it.
« on: February 24, 2006, 04:29:53 AM »
I'm being very serious here.  Last year in college bowling when he was rookie of the year I got to see him bowl alot and there's alot in his game that most bowlers do not have.  Anything short, this guy KILLS.  He has a stroke similar to the late 80s-early 1990s Parker Bohn III where he can fire a bullet up the lane with 400+ rpms on it.  I used to tell me teammates all the time last year, if there's friction anywhere on the ditch or alot in the backend you cannot beat Ciminelli.

I even got to cross with him at the collegiate singles qualifier last march where he shot 801 out of the gate on a 2.5-1 ratio in one of the most amazing singles performances I've ever seen in college bowling.

This week on a short pattern E is going to play to all of his strong points.  He has a fearless attitude on the lanes and firing it hard is his forte.  I don't see any lefty that's still in it with the ability to generate what Ryan Ciminelli does naturally.  As far as righties, we all know Pattern E can either yeild a front-9 fest or give an awkward transition based on equipment selection.  Ryan is cold as ice and my prediction to make the finals this week.  If he wins it I really won't be suprised.

=( Tim Criss needed a Double and 8 count I believe and he did it to Shut out Ciminelli. Great run for the kid. Tim Criss was clutch. Shows how much he wanted it! Good luck to you in the future Ciminelli. You're still young and maybe we'll see you on T.V. someday...

Ouch...

Great exposure for the kid though.  Goes to show you all what level that the nations top college bowlers are at.  With Fagan, O'Neill, Rash, Bohr, Machuga, and now Ciminelli having so much recent success on the exempt field you should expect to see a sudden surge in the young college guys going for the tour after college.  The next few years should be very exciting.

The Turtle....a guy who can't throw it any harder than 16 mph at the arrows and an inside player beat your fire balling stroker with beaucoup revs on the old E/ Cheetah pattern.....I gotta laugh......that is funny.
