Yeah, but Norm would have to puke to give up 90 some pins to Mika in one match, come on man.

Mika 248 to win his 8th game
Morm 213 to win his 8th.  He's still ahead by 50 some odd pins.

With the 30 pin bonus for each win, it is very possible to make up that difference in one match. If Norm shoots 190 and loses that last match, the 90 pin lead he had is gone just like that. And I wouldn't exactly call 190 on those conditions puking.

My bad. I'm going off on memory because the stupid PBA.com took off this weeks format from the site.

Reading is a skill.  Notice my quote that you posted, Duke had won his 8th match w/a 213, not a 190 & even IF he bowled a 190 & lost he would still have been in the lead by at least 7 points. Basic math is a skill also.  No, Norm didn't puke, but he would have had to to lose 90 pins.  He lost 35 only because Mika bowled great.

Look i'm not trying to get into a whole thing with you here so ease up on the smart a** comments. I posted your comment as part of my response to it, so obviously i saw the results of the eighth match. The 190 situation I was speaking of was HYPOTHETICAL. Apparently you weren't able to make that connection. My point was that the 90 pin lead could easily be made up in one match under this format. Since you apparently need actual numbers to fully understand, pay close attention. Norm had a 97 pin lead going into the last match. Mika shot 248 and won giving him 278. If Norm runs into a bad pair and happens to shoot 180/loss instead of 213/win in that last game, he loses the lead. Even though its not 190, 180 is not exactly puking either considering how difficult the conditions are. All it takes is a good game by the trailer and a subpar(but not exactly bad) game by the leader and 97 pins turns into nothing. Hopefully this is clear enough for you, if not, then I don't know what to tell you.

But could someone please drop a bowling ball on McCune's slide foot?

Almost good news, Doug Kent just hopped above McCune but there is a lot of bowling left.
