Just a joy to watch speak.
And while Pete may not have all the class of his father(it's tough to be as good as great father's (I know)he was loved dearly by his father and it was obvious the feeling went both ways.
As to Jeff Carter I hope I get to meet him some day! An incredible record holder, deep thinker, budding tourist and an admirer of class and decorum.
I hope he achieves all the success he truly deserves!

As far as Pete goes i would like to make a few comments. Now i am very biased because of my relationship with Pete, but i also know that Pete is a tremendous person. Most people dont get to see Pete the way some of us do. The Pete you get to see is on TV, during a pro-am or while he is bowling in competition. Pete is very focused and competitive. Most of the time that i have seen Pete be "non-fan friendly", it is because it is provoked. I cant believe some of the things people say to him. Sometimes i think people do this just to piss him off so they can talk about how big of a jerk he is. Pete is also living in the shadow of a legend. I dont know how many of you are the child of one of the greatest bowlers ( insert any occupation ) in the world, but to live with that can be unbearable. I know first hand how it is to be wrong about somebody. When i joined the PBA i had opinions on 2 guys in particular, Steve Jaros & Dave Traber. My opinions werent favorable based on what i had seen on TV and just the short time i had been around them. In my first year i ended up going to dinner with Dave at a regional and we quickly became good friends and out friendship has grown since. As for Steve, he is one of my closest friends now. We have traveled together, roomed together and our families have vactationed together. I guess what im trying to say is dont be so quick to judge the players out here based off of what you see on TV or on a chance meeting. I was very wrong about Dave & Steve and i gained 2 very good friends when i realized that.
I apologize about my ramblings but i just hate to see Pete continually get bashed, especially today. He really deserves much more. Thanks for your time

I absolutely LOVE to watch Pete Weber bowl.
Always have always will. I can't imagine a season without him on the show!
From shots of his beautiful wife, to his shades, his excitement and his game I could easily stand about 1/2 of the weeks with him on the show!

I met Mr Weber a few times through the PBA Midwest region and he was such a nice person, and not to shabby with the bowling ball either. One of the all time greats!!! Mr Weber's passing has left a huge void in the bowling world.
I also have had the chance to bowl a tournament with Pete Weber and I have to agree with Mr Carter, give Pete a break. It has to be kind of hard when every where you go you have a target on your back. When I bowled with Pete he was very nice and actually very funny.
My condolences go out to Pete, John and all the Weber family members

Jim,
I was going to say you are showing your age, but I doubt that it is that, as there are plenty of young sensible and good-hearted people. If you have it in you to make malicious remarks about someone whom you don't really know anything about, especially after learning that he just lost his dear father, you are a trouble-maker and a big jerk!
I met Pete a few years back in Cincinnati, and all I can say is that he is a class act.

The only time I ever had any contact with PDW was at a National stop about 20 years ago. He had just made the turn, and was heading down to the low end of the house. So I asked him how he was hitting them, and he said the 10s were killing him. We wished each other luck, and moved on to the next pair.
The carry must not have been too bad for him, though; he made the finals, and I didn't.
