I figure Walter will win but i'm really rooting for either LaCaze or O'Neil to capture their first title as to me its so awesome to watch what a first timer goes through and how they react, adds suspense and a little more to the match.

LaCaze

He has a huge amount of momentum being the first amateur to make a telecast since the all exempt field.

wasnt there an australian last year that was an amateur that made a show in the world championships?

Yes, but as a major the exempt players get no advantage.  This will be the first regular event where an amateur worked through the TQR to make the show.  There have been some non-exempt PBA members that have made the show but no amateurs since the exempt field.
