is it just me or has he been kinda absent this year. I know he is top 20 in points but it seems like he hasn't made a show in forever. I guess you could say the same for jason couch.

Mika has been MIA for most of this year and to me he doesn't belong on the list of top 50 greatest bowlers. Too many tournaments where he's nowhere to be found on the leaderboard.

His game doesn't look as crisp as it once did, it seems to me that it's probably just mental sharpness that's been dulled, and he'll be back with a little R&R and coaching.

As for not being on the top 50 greatest bowlers, he's done a lot more overseas than people give him credit for, along with his majors (hence the "Major Mika") and a not too bad TV record...who else would you put up on the list that wasn't there rather than Mika?

Mika is a very good bowler and I do feel he belongs in the top 50.  Mika does pretty dam good on those tough patterns that require accuracy.  He's one of the most accurate bowlers on tour.

He may not be my favorite bowler to watch, but I certainly believe that he earned that spot in the Top 50 and belongs to be there.  He had some great years over the past few, winning a bunch of tournaments, including 2 majors.  Two more titles and he qualifies for the Hall of Fame...which I can guarantee you that he will be voted into as long as he meets the requirments.  I can't see him not winning at least twice more in his career.  I'd be surprised to see him not win this season.

He's one of the most accurate players on tour and has developed the ability to play just about anywhere on the lanes that he wants to.  He throws good shots, doesn't get rattled, performs when he needs to, and looks pretty good with "moppy" blond hair....LOL.

He is also one of only two bowlers to win a title on every oil pattern (The other being Tommy Jones, although Mika was the first to do it). A televised 300 game. US Open win, which is the hardest tournament to win, plus other majors. I don't see how he wouldn't be in the top 50.
