Michael Haugen Jr. wins.  Barnes chokes again by missing a 1-pin spare.

if alabama was leading and chose to throw a pass that wasnt necessary and lsu won because of it yea..miles should thank him for being an idiot...barnes has class and always thanks the crowd as well as congratulates his opponent..the one time he doesnt all of you want to kill him...im not taking nothing away from MH..he made a great move and made barnes show up and barnes couldnt respond..im happy for MH..but barnes did implode and hand it to him..

Chris Barnes does see a sports psychologist from time to time...I see Barnes a few times a year when he is in town.

That is I see him in the bowling alley with the doc.

I think I've seen him lose a tournament in every fashion now.  I've never seen him miss a single pin spare.  He was probably so furious with himself that he had to leave the set to vent.  I don't blame him a bit.  TV is a mental hurdle for him, he needs to just stick with the gameplan and not overthink it.  If it's not there, use your physical game adjustments to find something else.  And for God's sake, trust yourself to make the shot.

First off, it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy...

Maybe the PBA will start to feel sympathetic for Barnes, and let him bowl to the 7th-8th frame of his tv matches, and then let Lynda finish off his game for him. I am sure she could handle it better!

It seems like everybody enjoys seeing barnes miss a spare on television and all the bad luck in the past telecasts.I dont think anybody realizes how successful he has been throughout his career.

Choke of the Year goes to Chris Barnes.  When you have commentators comment about this on live TV (not using the term "Choke" of course) and seeing the photo of Chris on the ground after he lost game emphasizes the fact that Chris choked and lost a match where he had a distinct advantage and huge lead.

Hopefully he can pick up the pieces, joke about this and start winning again.

What some of you are failing to realize is that, in general, people are not "bashing" Chris Barnes because of jealously or envy. The consensus seems to be that he is a jerk!!! That is the underlying overtone. People do not like him, and revel in his failures. Is he a bad person? I cannot say for sure. However, from my observations, he is smug, pompous, surly, and a whiner. To be honest I cannot think of anyone who has something to positive to say about his core character. Other than his wife and children. All that being, he is a supremely talented bowler and I do feel some sympathy for him in this situation. Defend him as bowler  as much you would like, but as a human, he leaves more than a lot to be desired. Bad things usually happen to bad people............
