don't look now...

...but now that the bracket is out, all you Traber-haters have to worry about the potential of a Traber vs Traber final

And, say what you will...you have to give props to anyone that can sack up to shoot the 279 in the last game of qualifying to jump over a bunch of people and make the cut, which is precisely what Dave did.  You may not like his style, but you have to give him credit for drive and perseverance.

I'd give him more credit if Dave balled up and lost about 100 lbs.  His game may be worthy of admiration in terms of execution, but his appearance on TV perpetuates a negative stereotype of bowlers.

There was a telelvised Traber v. Traber match up back in the early 90's.  Bo Burton (I think) was having a silligism over it.  Even worse than Randy Pederson's excitement a few weeks ago when "brothers-in-law" were bowling against each other.  Technically Doug and Parker aren't brothers-in-law, but that didn't matter to the ESPN color commentators.

"Family" match-ups make for good commentary I suppose, not matter how far one has to stretch to call people "family".
