PBA Regional Pattern #3

Does anyone have any insight as to how this pattern typically plays? Any advice on plans of attack? How does it transition?

Any help is appreciated. TIA!

This pattern is pretty blended with loads going in pretty deep.  You could pretty much play wherever you are comfortable.  At 38 ft, I would probably be around 8 or 9 board.  I would keep a pretty open mind and try different stuff if I had time.  Basically I like to stay outside the spinners and inside the guys throwing grit.  Good luck.

Sounds like my kind of game plan, lol.

So, basically, the pattern plays pretty open in terms of the plan of attack, but because so many move in deep and the pattern is fairly blended, the scores probably stay a bit lower. In other words... I'd better be ready to make my spares until the lanes open up their consistency. Sound about right?

It's actually kinda walled-up for a PBA pattern.  When you are lined up, you should have a couple boards of area.  The real trick here is keeping up with transition.  Make moves only after a well-thrown shot does something different.  Be confident in the moves that you make.  Above all, choose a line that provides makeable spares when you do miss.

I bowled on a Pattern league this summer and Pattern 3 was the easiest by far for me.

It does seem pretty walled up. I had quite a bit of bounce room outside, and if you tugged it, it didn't kill you like Patterns 1 and 2. My best shot was to play over 12-15 at the arrows out to about 7, pretty deep down the lane. Unlike 2, 4 and 5, I didn't have to go direct.

It's a decent scoring shot, but there is an OOB where the ball will just glide into the gutter. Just be careful not to get it out too far.
