For the Bay Area folk here, I wonder if that's the same Ryan Cosyns who used to bowl at Cloverleaf and Harvest Park.  If so, best of luck to him.  If not, best of luck to him anyway.

Does anyone think it's fair that the top ptq amateur qualifier go against WRW?
Seems like it's "almost" giving WRW a bye (except for last week, that is...)

Mumzie, I think there's your answer. BTW, remember that an amateur is anyone who doesn't hold a PBA card.  That could be someone like Brian Boghosian.

Also, the way they do the seedings, how could #1 bowl anyone other than the amateur?

Actually, now that I think about it, if they really wanted #1 to bowl the weakest link, the #64 seed should probably be the Commissioner's Exemption.

Wouldn't you agree that, generally speaking, the CE is the weakest bowler in the tournament?

well lets say the top am  won the qualifer and beat everyone i think he should get the number 59 seed he beat all the pros anyone else think it should be that way?

heres what i dont understand   some guy in my league has been bowling this league for 5 year same league same house same shot why is there a need for EIGHT (8)  yes i said eight bowling balls      stevie wonder averages 235 at this place!!!!!!!

They only take one amateur. Then the top 4 pros. If two amateurs in the top 5 then one will sit out.

The commissioners exception gets number 59 seed, 60 to 63 to the pro qualifiers, 64 to the amateur.

If, Carolyn Dorin-Ballard winds up with the Dallas CE then no she wouldn't be the weakest bowler in the field.  Generally you are probably right though seadrive.
