Anyone else notice PA's approach oddity?

It seemed to me that he was doing some sort of odd shift with his hips on the second step of his approach. It seemed like he was shifting his hips to a closed position, it looked very strange. Was I just seeing things?

That's what he does. Plus, with his knee injury, it may have been some habit he developed.

Maybe its just something I never noticed before. Of course his approach has always seemed very
forced
to me anyhow. I think that hitch I noticed just made it look even less smooth.

If you look at some of his videos in the early days, he's always had a herky jerky type delivery which (IMHO) caused some of his knee problems.
He also had one of the longest and weirdest pre-delivery routine that he cut way back on due to the shot clock..

Notice how he looks down at the ball for about 3 seconds before he even starts?

He's deliberate to say the least.

I like his game, I think it's pretty smooth and effective. You should have seen how he bowled in the urethane days. Much like Shaffer, he used to rip the holes out of the ball and have a violent follow through.
