i was at the midwest regional tournament today at laurel lanes in raytown, missouri and saw some great bowling. del ballard, jr., beat eugene mccune in the finals----what contrasts !  mccune was throwing rockets straight down the 2-3 board about 21-22 mph. ballard was swinging the ball 12 to 2 about 17 mph. both styles worked but carry was the key. saw several other pba touring pros---bryan goebel, mike edwards. had hoped to talk to steve jaros but he pulled out of the event. tim penner looked very good---look out for him in the future.
